Lesson Learned.........................

Have you ever heard the old saying, "If your baby doesn't fall of the bed before he is one he will stutter?"

Well.....................Andrew will not stutter now!

Last Tuesday, one of my regular days off, Andrew and I had started our day off right! He slept until 9 o'clock. I began our regular routine off the morning. I tucked pillows all around him before I got off the bed so he wouldn't roll off and proceeded to do my business.

Well, next thing I hear is a huge crash and then my heart sunk! Andrew started crying. I just knew that he had fallen off the bed. He usually likes to roll towards Nick's side of the bed but this time he chose to fall off of mine.

As soon as I saw him laying on the floor, I started crying! He was bleeding! Panic set in for me because I just knew he had broken something! He had a scratch on his cheek, nose and upper lip.

When he fell he also hit the air vent that's in the floor next to our bed. So needless to say he had 3 straight lines for bruises on his forehead.

Now as you can imagine I didn't know what to do. He couldn't tell me if he was alright. I thought I might need to take him to the doctor but all I could think about was them calling DHR because they would think it was child abuse! He looked pretty bad. So I called my mom and asked her what to do. She thought he would be ok and told me to watch him and if anything changed to take him to the doctor. I am pretty sure by this time I was the only one crying anymore!

Turns out, my baby is fine! Thank the Lord that He makes babies flexible enough from birth to withstand certain things. Especially accidents that shouldn't occur to begin with!

FYI: He now gets put in his crib with 4 walls that will keep him in the bed and off the floor! That is for now til he starts climbing. Then what am I gonna do??

Prayer Request....

I would like for you to please pray for my cousin Lori! She has been diagnosed with cancer of the pancreas and liver. She is in the hospital in Lexington Kentucky. She saw her doctor yesterday and they have given her 3 to 6 months to live and that is if she tries chemo or not. So her outlook on life is very grim. She is only in her thirties and has 3 children. I know she is very scared!

When Lori called my mother and told her, she made sure that my mom new she had accepted Christ as her Savior and that she was in a better place in her life now! So it is my prayer that if the Lord sees fit to take her on home that she has no pain. She hasn't decided whether or not to try the chemo, since they tell her it probably won't work.

So when you pray today please call out her name!

The River, The Inner Tube and The Tooth...

A few weeks ago, Nick and I took our nephew Alex to the river. What we didn't know was what he had in store for us! You see, Alex is a dare devil of sorts and there is pretty much nothing he won't do.

Photobucket

He loves to ride the inner tube and he likes to go fast and be slung around so that he might get the chance to fall off! So Nick was doing what he asked! Now don't think we go insanely fast because we don't!

We had slung him till we thought he was pretty tired, but come to find out he wanted more. So Nick took him on one more ride. One to many I guess.....Nick went to sling him outside the wave (like he likes it now) and in short, hit a wave and bounced up and came back down and his head hit the tube and he went flying off.

Now to him this was hilarious, but all we could see was the blood pouring out of his mouth.

Then

it

hit

him!

"MY TOOTH!" "WHERE IS MY TOOTH?"

You see, he had a loose tooth and he couldn't wait till it fell out just to see how much money the tooth fairy would bring to him!

We got him in the boat to make sure that he was okay. Yes, he was okay physically, but mentally he was very much disappointed. He just new that the tooth fairy would not come now because he didn't have a tooth to put under his pillow.

Nick worked his magic really quick and told him that the tooth fairy would still come and see him and that he would make sure that she did. You see, Nick's mom works for a dentist and you know that the dentist has connections! LOL!

Even after all of this he still wanted to tube so we let him. He even road on Jeremy's back. He is crazy! But a blast to be around! He always makes me laugh!

Photobucket

So I will leave you with the "after" picture! I think it's so good!
FYI: The tooth fairy did come. He got $20 and now the other front tooth is loose!
