Answered Prayers

I am so happy to tell you that my Uncle R. made it though surgery and everything went ok. He is home now and will have to take some medicines to help his situation. Other than that what more could you ask for!

Also, Nick's appointment went wonderful too! Dr. Laney told him everything looked fine but he did make him walk on the treadmill just to check and make sure! I have an awesome photo but since I might get killed for posting it, I won't. So for now as long as no other symptoms occur we are in the clear! Thank you LORD!!!!

FYI.....my sister-in-law L. is 6 weeks along and her due date is September 23. Please keep praying your sweet blessings on her. She has started getting sick. Here's hoping that passes quickly!

Family Prayer Requests.......

I feel like I have a ton of prayer requests for my family. I have 5. It seems as though when it rains it pours!

1. Please pray for my hubby! Thursday he woke and wasn't able to breathe deeply and he became a little anxious because of his heart history so he went to the doctor. They ran some tests and told him that he probably had a pulled muscle in his chest, luckily. But, they also did an EKG and thought they heard a skip in the beats. Hoping that it is just a glitch, they wanted him to make an appointment with his cardiologist. So we go to the heart doctor Monday afternoon. Please pray that it is nothing!

2. My Uncle R. also went to the cardiologist, Nick's doctor too, last Monday. He will have to have a stent put in. His surgery will be on Tuesday at 6 AM. It is a day surgery so WHEN all goes well he will come home that day! Please pray that this goes well also!

3. My Uncle Q. has a blood clot in his leg. He has been taking some medication that we hope will solve that problem! Please pray that it does and that nothing else will need to be done there!

4. My Mom hurt her back last Sunday. She has had quite the time with it. Please pray that she get better soon!

5. My sister-in-law L. is pregnant. Please pray wonderful blessings over this child and mother. Please pray that she does not have any problems what-so-ever! I wish a pregnancy like mine on her! :P

I also have one other request that is not from my family. It seems as though I keep finding blogs that touch my heart and I have found another! What a blessing this one is to me! Please go visit Kelly at Kelly's Corner and read about Baby Harper!

Thank You! G.W.B.

Thank you President Bush for all of your hard work! Thank you for holding fast to your faith in Christ Jesus! Thank you for keeping our country safe! It's hard to believe that 8 short years ago you were the first president I got to vote for! I will never forget that moment! I was so thrilled to even get to vote! Not many people give you the credit you deserve but I think that our country is better off now having had you as president!

As we close the chapter on your presidency, I just want to say that you did an excellent job at the world's hardest job! And we pray for the new administration and that the Lord will burden their hearts and help them to make the right decisions!

Even though I love history and look back at all the great men who held this great office, you, GWB, will always be MY president!

A toddlers first shiner......................

I can't help but wonder if you can bubble wrap your kids to keep them from falling and getting hurt. It was my goal to try and keep my son from falling and getting a boo boo on his face so it wouldn't be in his Christmas pictures. Well I failed!

All I can say is that it hurt me more than it hurt him! We were just playing and he fell and nailed the coffee table. I know what you are thinking..sharp corners...nope.....we have rounded everything! He just hit his head on the right spot!

I wish I could say that has been his only injury but it hasn't and it won't be this babies last! He is everywhere and at a very fast pace these days so there is no telling what I will be writing about before long!

And then there was the 18-wheeler............

Have you ever had a moment in your life that you think God is trying to tell you something? I'm sure we all have! Well I have decided that He wants Nick and I to find a new place to live! I never thought anything about it until we came so close to losing our home a couple weeks ago. Not even after somebody was hunting in the woods across the road from us and they shot through our home did I think this. (That's another story for another time!)

Anywhoo.....on December 10th I received a phone call from one of Nick's cousins asking me if I had heard about my house. Of course the first thing that went through my mind was that it was on fire. But she stopped me from panic and said no it's your yard. I said please tell me they didn't hit my house. You see, I live pretty close to the highway(a very busy highway) and my fear is that someone would come the opposite direction and slam their vehicle into my sons room because it's on the front corner of the house.

She said no but that he had hit everything else in my yard. Hitting everything in my yard is an understatement!

What you can't see in this picture is that the driver of this truck ran off the road at the beginning of our neighbors yard, jumped his driveway, then proceeded to tear up everything in our yard from start to finish. He took out four of our trees, 2 newly planted ones, most of the gravels in our driveway, and left HUGE ruts in the yard. He got so close to my home that he sprayed mud on the front of it!

Yes that's mud! The man driving the truck was not hurt thank goodness. He had just picked up a load of huge rolls of paper that weighed in the range of 41,000 pounds! His reason for this mess??? He reached over to get a piece of fruit and ran off the road. That's going to end up being a very expensive piece of fruit!

All this happend at about 10 o'clock that morning and this.........................

...............is the last time I remeber looking at the clock that night! I am pretty sure that at about 2 am they might have had everything out of our yard and maybe had the main highway re-opened.

And this is what it looked like after they got done and is still what it looks like today! Someday it will be fixed!

This picture just doesn't do my yard any justice! Do you know how much this will cost? If you add up everything....$19,500. Yes, you read that correctly! Can you believe it??

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL IN 2009!
